For the first time in program history, Campbellsville University men's basketball will be going up against one of its former head coaches, as Travis Ford and Oklahoma State University plan to host Keith Adkins' Tigers for a season-opening exhibition game Nov. 5, 8 p.m.

Former Shelton State Community College (Ala.) guard Brandon Williams visited the Campbellsville University campus and signed over the weekend with men's basketball head coach Keith Adkins. He joins point guard Monie Hudson (University of Evansville) as the second transfer and is the fifth signee of the year so far.

Carlos Wheeler, a top scorer for the Campbellsville University men's basketball team in 2001-02, has been invited by the New Orleans Hornets to participate in the NBA Summer League, July 9-16, in Las Vegas.

He and the Hornets will take on the Golden State Warriors Friday, July 9 at 10 p.m. ET on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. One of the biggest match ups of the summer may be when the Hornets meet the Washington Wizards' summer team and No. 1 draft pick John Wall.

Campbellsville University men's basketball announced its first transfer Thursday for 2010-2011. University of Evansville reserve point guard Monie Hudson is leaving the Aces after just one season to join the Tigers' program for his final year of eligibility.

Hudson, a native of Bowling Green, Ky., was an All-Region guard at Southeastern Illinois College, where he helped lead the team to a 52-12 record over two seasons. In 2008, Hudson was named the Region 24 Player of the Year as he averaged 14.4 points per game and helped lead SIC (28-7) to the national quarterfinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Tournament. He was named an All-Region player again in 2009 after averaging 12.3 points and 4.6 assists as a sophomore. He shot 40 percent from 3-point range.

Campbellsville University has signed two more Kentucky high school standouts to go along with Glasgow star Cameron Hall as the Tigers' early signees for 2010-2011.

Campbellsville High School guard Bryton Taylor, who was named the Region 5 Player of the Year is the most recent addition for CU, signing in late April. The Tigers second signee of the year was Jeremiah Johnson of Holmes High School. Hall was the Tigers' first signee in mid-December.
