KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Campbellsville University men's and women's tennis will both enter the 2012 season as Top 25 programs, the NAIA national office announced Tuesday.

"We are very happy to start the season ranked in the Top 25. We have a great group of guys and girls ready to start play this coming month," said CU tennis coach Kyle Caven.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University tennis head coach Kyle Caven has been named Coach of the Year by the United States Tennis Association of Kentucky (USTAKY), the organization has announced. According to USTAKY, the award is presented annually to "an individual who has excelled in guiding and managing a scholastic tennis team."

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Campbellsville University women's tennis continued its fall tune-up for a Mid-South Conference title defense with a good showing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional over the weekend at Brescia University.

True freshman Jenna Sallee led the way for the Lady Tigers, advancing to the quarterfinal round, while Stacey Drew advanced to the third round of competition for CU.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Tiger's senior Pablo Numbela had a great showing at the 2011 Blue Raider Fall Tennis Classic to start the fall season. The Bolivian native reached the men's semi-finals and won the doubles championship with fellow senior Carlos Anton.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) sanctioned event took place on September 9-11 in Columbia, Ky., hosted by Lindsey Wilson College.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Campbellsville University tennis opens its fall season this weekend at Lindsey Wilson College with two of the top-ranked players in the region. The Tigers enter the 2011 Blue Raider Fall Tennis Classic (Sept. 9 to Sept. 11) with Pablo Numbela and Carlos Anton seeded No. 1 in the tournament for doubles action and Anton seeded No. 2 for singles play.
