CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University senior shortstop Emma Napier has been chosen as the Capitol One Academic-All American of the Year for the College Division Softball Team. The honor, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), is given to one student-athlete per Academic All-America Team for their exceptional play and performance in the classroom.

TROUTVILLE, Va. — The awards continue to accumulate for senior shortstop and now graduate, Emma Napier, who was named a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-American Tuesday, May 14. The Scottsville, Ky. native finished her career as well as a senior could ask for, hitting an astonishing .460 with 14 homers and 45 RBIs.

TROUTVILLE, Va. – Day 4 saw the end of a great season and end of a playing career for seniors Emma Napier and Kacie Vincent.

The vocal leaders, who hit 1-2 for most of the season and then 9-1 the rest of the season, worked until the final out trying to keep their team up and motivated throughout the tournament. It was a 20-plus hour, 38-inning, 5-game swan song during two days at the Botetourt Sports Complex.

TROUTVILLE, Va. – Campbellsville University's season came to an end Friday evening in another one-hit shutout loss to Shorter University, but not before the Lady Tigers posted two shut out victories to advance to loser's bracket semifinal and finish fourth at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championships.

TROUTVILLE, Va. – Botetourt County Office of Tourism welcomed 10 softball teams to the Botetourt Sports Complex for the first day of softball action Thursday and also provided the perfect story line for today's diary through its tourism brochure.

"The state-of-the art facility … 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains makes the perfect setting for an afternoon at the ballpark."
