CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville baseball just finished its 10-week fall practice schedule right in time for the NAIA and Mid-South Conference preseason polls to be released earlier this month.
The Tigers are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 and are projected to finish third in the MSC.
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Tiger baseball is halfway through its eight week fall practice schedule and head coach Beauford Sanders, who is entering his 25th season at the helm of the Tigers, is excited about the newcomers. Sanders and recruiting coordinator Brad Neffendorf put an exclamation point on the 2014-15 recruiting class by signing 14 players.
COLUMBIA, Ky. – Campbellsville placed both the tying and winning runs on base in the ninth, but a popped up bunt and double play ended the Tigers' rally and season late Monday night at Lindsey Wilson College's Egnew Park. St. Catharine College survived the Mid-South Conference Tournament elimination game with a 4-3 win to advance to an elimination game Tuesday afternoon against Shawnee State University at 4 p.m. CDT.
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Tiger Baseball picked up 12 awards from Mid-South Conference officials. Carlos Torres and Jacob Russell were named to the MSC first and second teams, while Russell (OF) and Jaime Valle (C) both were tabbed as Gold Glove recipients for their respective positions.
Campbellsville also had eight players named to the Academic All-Conference team.
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Despite walking 13 batters and allowing six unearned runs, Campbellsville University baseball survived and advanced late Sunday night in the Mid-South Conference Tournament at HIG Field. The Tigers dropped their first game of the evening, 3-2, to fourth-seed Shawnee State University, and then escaped a high-scoring affair, 15-11, in an elimination game win over University of the Cumberlands.
