
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Campbellsville University posted its best finish in program history Friday, placing fifth at the NAIA Invitational at the NCA Collegiate Championships. The Tiger cheerleaders, competing in the NAIA Small Coed division, were fourth in Thursday's preliminaries at the Band Shell but finished fifth despite improving their score Friday at the Ocean Center.
CU's performance was sixth among subtotal scores, but the squad showed strong accuracy for the second straight day, losing only one point in deductions to finish at 80.30.

The Tiger cheerleaders finished fourth in the NAIA Small Coed preliminaries Thursday afternoon at the Band Shell to earn a bid to Friday's finals, scheduled to begin around 11 a.m. EDT at the Ocean Center.
CU's performance placed them seventh among subtotal scores, but the teams' accuracy helped them finish fourth after losing only one point in deductions with a Day 1 score of 79.95.

The Tiger cheerleaders will be first to take the stage for the NAIA Small Coed competition at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 11 at the Band Shell, which provides a beachfront view of the Atlantic Ocean. The day's preliminary competitions for the entire event begins at 8:45 a.m. EDT.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Alexa Moore, a Campbellsville University junior from Clarksville, Tenn., was honored as the Mid-South Conference's Cheerleading Champions of Character award winner at a Wednesday afternoon banquet at the Capitol Plaza Hotel.
