For a coach who didn't have a senior male runner on last year's roster and only three seniors on his women's track team, Joe Stockton has just added versatility and depth to his 2010-11 squads.

Campbellsville University track & field head coach Joe Stockton has been selected as a 2011 inductee to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Hall of Fame, the KHSAA Board of Control announced Friday.

Stockton, who is in his second year as CU track coach, was a nine-time state champion at North Hardin High School, helping to win the school's first state championship in 1992. He was named Mr. Track in back-to-back years as well as Kentucky Male Athlete of the Year his senior year in 1993-1994. He was also a Kentucky Mr. Football finalist.

Campbellsville University women's track and field scored a fourth-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship Saturday at the University of Rio Grande.

The Lady Tigers picked up 62 points during the second day of competition to finish with 107 team points and finish behind Shorter College (257), University of the Cumberlands (159) and Lindsey Wilson College (116). Rio Grande (88), Bethel College (62) and Georgetown College (51) rounded out the team standings.

Campbellsville University sits in fifth place among women's teams as the Mid-South Conference Track & Field Championship enters its final day of events Saturday.

The Lady Tigers picked up big second-place finishes from Kotey Crowe in the pole vault and Tawny Vilchis in the javelin to help boost them into fifth place with 45 points, only 14 points out of the lead.

Triple jump was Campbellsville University's best event Friday night at the Eastern Kentucky University Open track and field event in Richmond, Ky.

Detrick Briggs led the men on the day with a third-place jump of 13.33 meters and was 6.25 inches away from taking first in the event. That honor went to EKU's Steven Nicholason. Dale Kerr was also sixth in the javelin with a throw of 40.4 meters.

For the women, Tiosha Beasley led the Lady Tigers with a sixth-place finish and jump of 10.44 meters. Her jump and Starsha Fant's sixth-place run in the 400 dash (59.00) were two of the top for CU. The best finish came in pole vault, as Kotey Crowe took fifth-place for the women, clearing 2.55 meters.
