For a coach who didn't have a senior male runner on last year's roster and only three seniors on his women's track team, Joe Stockton has just added versatility and depth to his 2010-11 squads.

Detrick Briggs return to the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships didn't go as planned Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University.

The Campbellsville University junior finished No. 19 of 21 in the triple jump competition with a jump of 13.72 meters (45 feet, 0.25 inches). His best jump was his first jump, as his next two attempts fell shorter each time by a tenth of a meter.

"I came up there and I was feeling alright, but after my first jump … It was a jump that I wasn't expecting, and it just went downhill from there," Briggs said.
