Campbellsville University tennis head coach Kyle Caven is putting ease to a gut feeling he's had since high school - serve on an international mission trip. Caven is in the Dominican Republic July 26-31 with SCORE International. He and other coaches from the United States will be coaching kids tennis and finding ways to share the Gospel each day.

Anita Henestrosa
Awards continue to roll in for Campbellsville University's rising sophomore tennis star Anita Henestrosa. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has named the Swiss tennis player the Rookie of the Year for Region III in the NAIA. This comes on the heels of being named the Freshman of the Year and Co-Player of the Year by the Mid-South Conference and being selected as an NAIA First Team All-American.

Anita Henestrosa
Anita Henestrosa gained another highlight this week for her freshman year at Campbellsville University. The Bern, Switzerland native was named a NAIA All-American for women's tennis singles play, becoming the first Lady Tiger to earn the honor for women's tennis, according to the NAIA archive.
Henestrosa posted an 11-1 singles record and 7-5 doubles record through the season, earning the Mid-South Conference honors for Freshman of the Year and Co-Player of the Year. She did not receive a national ranking until May 7, breaking the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Top 50 rankings at No. 7. The final season rankings are scheduled for June 4.

Day one of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Tennis Championships is done and Campbellsville University men's tennis is the only unbeaten team in Pool A.
The Tigers took down both the 2009 NCCAA national champion Olivet Nazarene University and Spring Arbor University by a 5-1 score at the Mobile Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. Pool play will conclude Wednesday at 1 p.m., as Campbellsville meets NCAA Division II school King College. The top two teams from each pool advance to the tournament semifinal at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Anita Henestrosa
For the third consecutive week and third time this season, Campbellsville University freshman Anita Henestrosa is the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Student-Athlete of the Week for women's tennis.
Henestrosa, a native of Bern, Switzerland, posted a 3-0 record last week to improve to 10-1 on the year. She picked up wins over Lindsey Wilson's
Trina Slapeka (6-2, 7-5), University of the Cumberland's Donna Strong
(6-1, 6-1) and Indiana Southeast's Lauren Becher (6-0, 6-0). Slapeka
is ranked No. 13 in the nation by the ITA.
