Campbellsville University tennis coach Kyle Caven received some good news Tuesday while serving on a mission trip to the Domincan Republic. His 2010 men's tennis team has been named a NAIA Scholar Team.

Campbellsville University tennis head coach Kyle Caven is putting ease to a gut feeling he's had since high school - serve on an international mission trip. Caven is in the Dominican Republic July 26-31 with SCORE International. He and other coaches from the United States will be coaching kids tennis and finding ways to share the Gospel each day.

Enrique Rubio and Pablo Numbela are ranked No. 24 in the NAIA for doubles
Campbellsville University's No. 1 doubles duo continues to draw accolades for the 2010 season. Senior Enrique Rubio of Spain and sophomore Pablo Numbela of Bolivia were both listed on the NAIA and NCCAA All-America lists, recently released.
Rubio led the team by being named a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) First Team All-American and a NAIA Second Team All-American. According to the NAIA Archive, he is the first CU men's tennis player to be named a NAIA All-American.

Enrique Rubio and Pablo Numbela concluded their season and career together at No. 1 doubles
Campbellsville University men's tennis fell one set shy of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship match Thursday. Shortly after midnight, Eastern time, CU sophomore Pablo Numbela fell in three sets to North Greenville's Luis Campos, as the Tigers fell to the Crusaders, 5-4, in the NCCAA national semifinals at the Mobile (Ala.) Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.

Day one of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Tennis Championships is done and Campbellsville University men's tennis is the only unbeaten team in Pool A.
The Tigers took down both the 2009 NCCAA national champion Olivet Nazarene University and Spring Arbor University by a 5-1 score at the Mobile Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. Pool play will conclude Wednesday at 1 p.m., as Campbellsville meets NCAA Division II school King College. The top two teams from each pool advance to the tournament semifinal at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
