Then we headed to the courts at 8:30 to hangout and watch some of the girls' matches.

Throughout the morning, the focus was on Belhaven, their previous results with schools we had played in the past and how we stacked up with them.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Last Friday we marked off another one of our team's goals. This goal was to win the NCCAA National Tournament, which we did by knocking of Spring Arbor University with a score of 5-1. The feeling after the win was one of relief and excitement. After three straight semi-final dismissals from this same tournament, our seniors felt an overwhelming feeling of success that was made possible by hard work and commitment

[Baseball] NAIA Bus Tour Day 4 & 5 - Turnpike to the future

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Friday's story was going to be all about the Rally Monkey, a small red and white ape that the seniors place on the dugout fence. When the Tigers eliminated Georgetown, it was time to tell the story behind Beauford Sanders' "Be an Ape" toast from Wednesday night's banquet and daily motivation.

But that story was chop blocked Friday night with a three-run seventh inning by the University of Saint Francis. The Saints dealt Campbellsville another 6-3 loss in the NAIA Opening Round Tournament after a seventh-inning rally. The sports writer in me see's the story line from the other side of the field. "Saints earn revenge for 2010 elimination." After all, it was the Tigers that KO'd the Saints on their home field in Joliet, Ill., three seasons ago after winning the first game and knocking the team out of contention in the loser's bracket.

With the Tigers' season now over, the attention for Day 4 got shifted to "What's Next?" That is where Day 5 becomes Day 1 of a new life chapter for 11 Tiger seniors as we begin our bus journey home.
