Joe Stockton is in his third season as Head Track and Field coach at Campbellsville University.

His second season proved to be one of the best in program history, a reflection of his first recruiting class that competed during the 2010 season. A strong and diverse unit represented Campbellsville University in the Mid-South Conference and the NCCAA National Championship.

During Stockton 2009 season, the men and women track team broke five school records, nine qualified for thirteen events at the NCCAA National Championship. Detrick Briggs became the school first NCCAA National Champion and NCCAA All-American in the Triple Jump. All-Conference runner, Miranda Meeks qualified for another trip back to the NAIA National Championships.

In 2010, Briggs repeated as a NCCAA National Champion and All-American in triple jump, while qualifying for the NAIA Championships.

Stockton is a North Hardin High School product and Western Kentucky University Alumni. While in high school, Stockton was a part of North Hardin first KHSAA Championship in 1992. During his five years of running high school track, Stockton captured nine KHSAA State Championships in the long jump, triple jump, 110 HH and the 300 LH. Still holds North Hardin High School record in the 110 HH, 300 LH and Long Jump, while his 300 LH time was a state record for over a decade. In May 2010, he was announced as a 2011 inductee to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Hall of Fame for his track accomplishments at North Hardin.
