Grad Assistant
Detrick Briggs joined the Campbellsville University cross country and track coaching staff in Fall 2011 as a graduate assistant. Briggs, a 2011 graduate of CU, was the track and field program's first national champion, winning the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) triple jump title in 2009 and 2010. He was the first CU student-athlete to ever win two national titles.

During his time with CU track and field, he set school records in the triple jump (14.94 meters), long jump (6.89 meters) and 400-meter hurdles (55.20). He was a three-time Mid-South Conference All-Conference performer, winning the triple jump competition in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

In addition to his four years with the Tiger track and field program, Briggs was a four-year member of the Fighting Tiger football team. In November 2009, he helped lead Campbellsville football to its first NCCAA Victory Bowl appearance.
