Harris and Nobile capture Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brooklyn Harris and Majella Nobile represented the Campbellsville women's tennis team on the Daktronics-NAIA Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete list, the national office announced on Friday morning.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have attended the institution for two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.

This is the first time both Harris and Nobile earned the national academic award. This is the first time since 2015 the Lady Tigers had two individuals earn the award and just the second time in program history.

A total of 157 women's tennis student-athletes garnered the award with Missouri Baptist University leading all institutions with six honorees.

Campbellsville finished the 2018 season with a record of 14-9 and moved on to the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament and the NCCAA National Championship.
