COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Tigers had a numerous amount of great performances on the final day of the Mid-South Conference Track and Field Championship to earn first and second team all-conference honors.
CU had 11 total athletes earn First-Team honors. It had three individual champions and two relay champions over the course of the three day meet.
First Team
800m–
Sam Kiser won the event by just over a second with a time of 1:54.64.
110m hurdles–
Tyler Lewis ran a 15.21 in the qualifier but went 15.56 in the finals to win the event.
High Jump–
Brayden Russell defeated the field by just .03m with a jump of 1.91m.
4x100m relay–
Garland Webb, Zerric Willis, Ty'Lyn Byas, and
Jaron Jackson defeated the field at the finish with a time of 42.54.
4x800m relay–
Bret Crawford,
Camryn Snapp, Christ Stoeckel, and
Sam Kiser won the relay with the winning move from
Bret Crawford to run a time of 7:56.38
Following up the first team, the Tigers had three individual athletes make the second-team honors.
Second Team
1500m–
Bret Crawford was beated at the line to finish with a time of 4:01.20.
Shot Put- Anthony Sams threw for a distance of 15.11m.
Hammer–
Malik Williams threw for a distance of 43.92m.
