Women’s Indoor Track & Field rounds out field at Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Lady Tigers had another strong day of competition as they went on to finish eighth place overall and seven within the Mid South Conference Indoor Championships this weekend.
 
Ja'Zell Woodard-Johnson continued to impress as she went on to win the women's triple jump with a jump of 10.89 meters. Deja Thompson just missed scoring points for the Lady Tigers in field events as she placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 10.55 meters.
 
Starting the day on the track, the women's 4x800-meter relay team picked up a needed three points by placing sixth with a time of 11:25.42. Miranda Rzendzian was the lone distance runner for Campbellsville to score on the day in the women's 3,000-meter run. She went on to place sixth in a time of 11:35.01. Taylor Cox just missed scoring points in the women's 800-meter run by placing ninth in a time of 2:42.13.
 
In the sprints, Ta'Neshya Allen placed second in the 60-meter hurdles helping in points by running a 9.95. She would also go on to run the 200-meter dash, but came up short on points after placing 10th with a time of 28.48.
 
The women's 4x400-meter relay team went on to finish the day for the Lady Tigers by placing fifth place and running a 4:27.62.
 
Campbellsville concludes the indoor season and now shift to its outdoor campaign.
