COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Tigers picked up a lot of needed points to place third at the end of the Mid South Conference Indoor Championships on the Saturday at Capital University.

Starting off day two was the men's 4x800-meter relay coming in with a second place finish in a time of 8:30.36. The Tigers remained strong in the distance events throughout the day. In the mile,
Bret Crawford and
Jacob Hamilton finished second and third to earn 14 points in the event. Crawford ran 4:26.17 and Hamilton finished close behind with a 4:26.47. Crawford followed the performance with another runner-up finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:58.81.

Sam Kiser was the lone distance athlete who came away with the win in the 800-meter run by running a 1:58.10. Campbellsville picked up another trio of points in the 1,000-meter run by
Corbin Harris,
Camryn Snapp, and
Matthew Fischer. Snapp came in fifth running a 2:42.89, Harris ran a 2:46.69 for seventh, and Fischer came in eighth with a time of 2:50.03.

In the sprints,
Tyler Lewis started the day with a win in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a winning time of 8.26. He also went on to finish fifth in the men's triple jump with a jump of 13.26 meters.
Garland Webb had another strong day in the men's triple jump as he finished fourth with a jump of 13.64 meters and also came in with a seventh place finish in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.18.

Jordan Thomas and
Edwin Ford helped the Tigers earn more points in the men's 400-meter dash with a fourth-place finish by Thomas and a seventh-place finish by Ford. Thomas went on to run a 51.24, and Ford finished with a 52.28. The Tigers went on to finish the meet off with a fourth-place finish in the men's 4x400-meter relay by running a 3:35.86.

Anthony Sams was the lone Tiger scorer in the throwing events this afternoon as he placed fourth in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.45 meters.

The Tigers complete their indoor season, but

Garland Webb and
Tyler Lewis will now have two weeks to prepare for the NAIA Indoor Championships. Webb will be participating in the men's triple jump and Lewis in the 60-meter hurdles.Â
