Miller, Rippy and Scott earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors with at least 3.5 GPAs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Tuesday that 395 women's softball student-athletes have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Softball Scholar-Athletes.
 
Campbellsville University had three Lady Tigers earn the distinct honor – Brittany Rippy, Brianna Scott and Rebecca Miller.
 
In order to be nominated by an institution's sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
 
The Lady Tigers finished the season with a 38-15 record and competed in their third straight NAIA Opening Round Championship.
