FRANKFORT, Ky. — Tiger Cheerleaders competed tonight at the MSC Championship held at the Frankfort Convention Center.
CU's Abby Prow was named Freshman of the Year. MacKenzie Arrasmith and Samantha Walker were name First Team All-Conference, and Randal Parmley and Jesse Howard where named Second Team All-Conference.
Lindsey Wilson won the team championship, Georgetown was second and UPIKE was third. Macey McKenzie of Georgetown was selected as the MSC Cheerleader of the Year. Joanie Alexander of Georgetown was named the MSC Coach of the Year.
Cumberlands' Maggie Ballou was selected as the MSC cheerleading Champions of Character recipient. She earned the award based on her academic and athletic achievement, campus and community leadership, future ambition and demonstration of the five core character values of the NAIA.
Two cheerleaders from each school earned All Mid-South Conference First Team honors, while another two earned second team all-conference honors.
