FRANKFORT, Ky. -Â Campbellsville could not repeat its cheerleading title and finished in the runner-up spot among seven Mid-South Conference squads competing for the conference championship Wednesday night. University of the Cumberland's was judged the best squad.
However, Campbellsville's Co-Ed Stunt Team did finish first. Members of that team included:
Diaz Bolden,
Joe Blackstone, and
Cicely Walters. The All-Girl Squad, consisting of
Audrey Wunderlich,
Ashley Todd,
Emma Calvert, Lindsey McClain and
Elizabeth Shultz, was also runner-up. Five squads competed in that division.
Four Tiger cheerleaders, MaKayla Jessie,
Ashley Todd, Diane Waldrop and
Delana Hendrix, were named Academic All-Conference. To qualify one has to compile at least a 3.25 GPA out of a possible 4.0 and be a sophomore, junior or senior.
Bethany Gray and Waldrop were also named to the All-Conference Cheerleading Squad.
