Men's Tennis

Tennis has 10 student-athletes pick up post-season honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Campbellsville men's and women's tennis had eight student-athletes pick up various NAIA or NCCAA awards, the national offices have announced.

Anna Tumanyan, Alejandro Soriano, Nathan Boniel, Vladyslav Ladygin and Sebastian Marot were all named First-Team NCCAA All-Americans. Ladygin was also named to the NCCAA Singles All-Tournament team and he teammed up with Soriano to be named NCCAA Doubles All-Tournament team.

Megan Charity and Jenna Sallee were named NCCAA Second Team All-Americans and Charity picked up NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors with teammate Meg Brown.

Charity, Marot and Bradley Jeffries all earned Daktronics-NAIA Tennis Scholar-Athlete honors while Alfredo Bencid and Marot earned the same honor in the NCCAA.

In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify.

In order to be nominated for the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a sophomore academic status.
