In just his first season, Campbellsville's Scott Hortness was named the Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.

The award, determined by a vote of the league's coaches, took place before the women's conference championship meet on Saturday in Berea.  Campbellsville went on to win the meet and Hortness becomes the first coach to lead a CU Women's Cross Country team to the NAIA National Cross Country Championships that will be held on November 22nd in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
