KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two Tiger basketball players have been honored by the NAIA for their performance in the classroom.
Elliott Young and Harley Filho have been named Division I Men's Basketball 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 60-player list on Monday, March 21.
In order to be nominated by an institutions sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Young, Mt. Washington, Ky.; is a junior; and Filho, Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a senior.
