KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that 753 men's and women's indoor & outdoor track & field student-athletes have been named 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Campbellsville University accounted for seven of those student-athletes - Ross Allen, Dylan Ford, Wade Harris, Aaron Johnson and Brandon Wiseheart on the men's side. Brandi Thomas and Mallory Vest picked up honors for the women.
In order to be nominated by an institution's sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
On the women's side, Concordia led all institutions with 20 individuals on the list, while Olivet Nazarene led all institutions with 11 men student-athletes on the list.
