DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Four Campbellsville University football players were named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced last week prior to the national title game.
Senior wide receiver Neil Wilson of Tompkinsville, Ky., and juniors Blake Cordell of Elizabethtown, Ky., Erik Krivitsky of Upatoi, Ga., and Caleb Myers of Evansville, Ind., all received the honor.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. Individuals who are in their first year at an institution are not eligible for the honor.
In all, 319 football student-athletes received the honor in 2014.
