BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Campbellsville's
Adam Sandidge won the men's division of the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Championship today at Phil Moore Park, setting a personal-best time of 24:51.3.
"It was really exciting to watch Adam race today, he has earned the award and raced fantastic," said his coach,
Hilary Lakes. "He ran a personal best by 25 seconds and he had a great race. It was so exciting to watch the finish."
He and his Tiger teammates finished second behind Shawnee State University, which dropped in its first five runners in the first eight finishing spots.
Sandidge, a junior from Hodgenville, Ky., was 25 seconds better than he had ever run before. He and
Bret Crawford (fourth overall, 25:47.6) were named First Team All-Conference.
Will Ballard, who finished 11
th overall (26:33.1) was named to the Second Team.

Campbellsville's women finished sixth with freshman
Madison Dooley leading the way with a 16
th-place finish in the time of 20:07.6.
"I'm really proud of the team and how they went out and ran today," continued Lakes. "We had a lot of personal bests and close to it and it was a great team race. We did great and it was really a good day for the cross country teams."
Shawnee State, which had five runners in the top seven spots, was crowned champion. The Bears' Anna Havranek won in a time of 18:17.3.
