
Joe Stockton is starting his second season as Head Track and Field coach at Campbellsville University.
Spite being his second season, Stockton's first recruiting class will be competing this 2010 season. A strong and diverse unit will be representing Campbellsville University in the Mid-South Conference and the NCCAA National Championship.
During Stockton 2009 season, the men and women track team broke five school records, nine qualified for thirteen events at the NCCAA National Championship. Detrick Briggs became the school first NCCAA National Champion and NCCAA All-American in the Triple Jump. All-Conference runner, Miranda Meeks qualified for another trip back to the NAIA National Championships.
Stockton is a North Hardin High School product and Western Kentucky University Alumni. While in high school, Stockton was a part of North Hardin first KHSAA Championship in 1992. During his five years of running high school track, Stockton captured nine KHSAA State Championships in the long jump, triple jump, 110 HH and the 300 LH. Still holds North Hardin High School record in the 110 HH, 300 LH and Long Jump, while his 300 LH time was a state record for over a decade.

A 1989 graduate of

George Eskridge is in his second year as the jumps coach for the Campbellsville University track and field programs.
In
his first year working with the jumpers, he coached the NCCAA National
Champion and All-American in the men's triple jump, 5 NCCAA event
qualifiers, and the school record holder in the men's high jump. Under
the guidance of Eskridge, Detrick Briggs became Campbellsville
University's first NCCAA National Champion and first NCCAA All-American
in track and field.
Eskridge
came to Campbellsville University after coaching 9 years of high school
track in Kentucky. His stops included Louisville Eastern High School
(7 yrs) and Louisville Male High School (2 yrs). As an assistant at
Eastern High School, the Lady Eagles won the Class AAA track and field
championships in '96, '97, and '98. Eskridge also coached the current
Kentucky Girl's Class AAA long jump record holder, 4 state champions
and 5 state runner-ups. Eskridge ran high school track for Fort Knox High School and was a member of the '84, '85, and '86 championship teams. Eskridge
went on to letter in track at the University of Louisville.
