Urbaneja set three career records for the Tigers from 2005 to 2008, playing in a record 202 games and collecting 596 at bats. He is also first on the Tigers' all-time list for doubles (52), second in singles (189) and sixth in RBIs (115). During his playing time, he was a three-time All-Mid-South Conference selection in 2005, 2007 and 2008. Following his career with the Tigers, Urbaneja worked as an intern from the program in 2008-09, served as a grounds crew member for the 2010 Mid-South Conference Tournament and assisted with the junior varsity program in 2010-11.
In December 2008, Urbaneja earned his bachelor's degree in physical education with minors in sport management and athletic coaching. He is currently a graduate student in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) department. He serves as a graduate assistant in the Spanish department and teaches three English as a second language classes.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Urbaneja resides in Campbellsville, Ky., with his wife Kacey and step-daughter Malaya.
