Ginger High Colvin enters her fifth season as head coach of the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers. Though she has worn the title of head coach for only four seasons, Colvin has been a part of the Lady Tiger family for more than two decades.

Her Campbellsville University experience began in 1986 on the hardwood as a student-athlete under then head coach Donna Wise. In her playing career as a Lady Tiger, Colvin was a star performer. In 1990, she was named a Third-Team All-American and the KIAC Player of the Year. She is one of three Lady Tigers to be named as an All-Conference selection for four consecutive seasons. She is also a member of the 1,000-point club and a member of the Campbellsville University Athletics Hall of Fame. More impressive, however, is the fact that Ginger Colvin still holds the NAIA national record for highest assist average in a career. She also ranks first in CU Lady Tiger basketball history for assists in a game, season, and career.

Upon completion of her playing career, Colvin's love for Campbellsville University and passion for the game prompted her to begin her coaching career as an assistant coach under the direction of Hall of Fame Head Coach, Donna Wise. Coach Ginger High Colvin served as a part-time assistant for 12 years, from 1991-2003.

In 1997, Colvin was called upon to take over the reigns of a struggling Campbellsville High School Lady Eagle program. Coach Colvin's impact on that program was both quick and remarkable. In seven seasons, her teams achieved a winning record five times. Colvin guided her Lady Eagle teams to three 20-win seasons and three 5th Region All-A Championships. One of those All-A Regional Championship teams advanced to the Elite 8 of the Class A State Tournament. She also led Campbellsville to two 20th District Titles (the first district titles in school history in women's basketball).

Colvin's ultimate achievement at the high school ranks came in 2001 and 2002 when she guided her Lady Eagle squads to the championship game of the 5th Region tournament.

In 2003, Ginger Colvin returned to Campbellsville University as a full time assistant. Four seasons later, when Donna Wise announced her retirement, Colvin was the logical choice to fill Coach Wise's monumental shoes. Colvin is only the second head coach in the history of the Campbellsville University program.

In her tenure as head coach, Coach Colvin has accumulated a record of 108 wins and 27 losses. Her first recruiting class finished its four years of eligibility in 2010-11 with a 108-27 career record, the most wins by a Lady Tiger senior class. In her first four seasons as the Lady Tigers' head coach, she claimed three Mid-South Conference regular season championships, the 2011 MSC Tournament Championship and made three appearances in the NAIA National Tournament in Jackson, Tenn., including back-to-back national quarterfinal trips in 2010 and 2011 for the first time in program history. Colvin also became the first Lady Tiger or Tiger basketball coach to win 30 games in a season, doing so twice in 2009-10 (33-3) and 2010-11 (30-4).

In 2009-10, the Lady Tigers became the first team in the history of the Mid-South Conference to go undefeated in conference play to win the MSC regular season title. Additionally, the Lady Tigers were named the NAIA National Team Champion of Character that season. To top it all off, Colvin was named Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year for the second year in a row and was a finalist to be named WBCA National Coach of the Year. She is one of the few coaches in America to coach a National Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, as Whitney Ballinger was named the WBCA NAIA Player of the Year and NAIA Co-Player of the Year in 2010 and the NAIA Co-Player of the Year in 2011.

Coach Ginger Colvin is a relentless worker with a passion for the game of basketball and for Campbellsville University. She is adored by her players and respected by her peers. In a three year span, she has revived the Campbellsville University program and has re-introduced the Lady Tigers into the national spotlight. Colvin's competitive nature and tireless work ethic will continue to solidify the Lady Tiger's position on the national scene for years to come.

She and her husband, Robert, reside in Campbellsville with their son, Kobe.

Miranda Denney Image
Miranda Denney
Assistant Coach

After one year as a graduate assistant, Miranda Denney begins her third year as a full-time assistant coach. A former player for the Lady Tigers, Miranda has worked herself into the coaching ranks. She is a graduate of Campbellsville University with a major in mathematics.

Miranda enjoyed a successful high school career at Somerset High School where she was a member of a 12th region championship team, and also was a member of a Class A State Championship team.

Ironically, Miranda was first recruited after competing against Coach Colvin's Campbellsville High School team in the Class A State Tournament.

Stepping into a Lady Tiger uniform, Miranda played at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. She was a member of two regular season Mid-South Conference championship teams and one MSC tournament championship team. She was the starting point guard of an Elite 8 team that was knocked out of the Final Four by eventual national champions, Southern Nazarene.

Miranda competed in the National Tournament all four years at CU. "Hootie" (as she is known) was a gritty, hard-working player who always drew the toughest defensive assignment in the guard spot. She's just as gritty in the coaches' office.

She competed at the highest level every time she stepped onto the floor. She is still at the top of the charts in the FT percentage category, as she was a single season leader from the charity stripe, shooting 88 percent her junior year. Miranda was named honorable mention All-Conference in her senior season. She also earned All-Conference and All-American academic honors.

Aside from basketball, Miranda made her mark on Campbellsville University. While being a full-time athlete, she managed to earn Valedictorian honors as well as be chosen as Ms. Campbellsville her senior season. Well-respected by her professors, peers, and players, "Hootie" is a major plus to this program.

Kristi Ensminger Image
Kristi Ensminger
Assistant Coach
Kristi Ensminger begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Lady Tigers. Ensminger finished her playing career at Campbellsville University in 2010. She played her first two collegiate seasons under the direction of former Hall of Fame head coach Donna Wise and finished her playing career under the direction of now-head-coach Ginger Colvin.
Ensminger excelled both on the court and in the classroom as a Lady Tiger. She was a member of two regular season conference championship teams, and also guided her team to an undefeated run through the Mid-South Conference regular season in 2009-2010.

She was an NAIA Academic All-American in her junior season, and was named to the Mid-South Conference All Conference Academic Team for three consecutive seasons. In her senior year at Campbellsville, she, like Assistant Coach Miranda Denney, was named Miss Campbellsville University.

Ensminger is currently working towards a master of arts in theological studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She completed her undergraduate studies at Campbellsville University with a degree in Psychology. During the summer of 2010, Ensiminger spent two months doing mission work to help the earthquake raavished country of Haiti and returned to the country in Decembr 2010 after Hurricane Tomas caused more destruction. During the summer of 2011, she spent time ministering in Nicaragua.
