Tuesday was final preparation day for the Campbellsville University Tigers as they wait to take on Fresno Pacific University in their first round game of the Buffalo Funds NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament at 1:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday.

The Tigers started the day with breakfast in the hotel before traveling to Park University in Parkville, Kan., for practice. After drills were complete, CU head coach Keith Adkins tweaked his game plan and adjusted CU's defensive strategy for Wednesday's opener. The Tigers had some down time following practice before watching film on Fresno for the final time mid-afternoon.

Adkins main focus once again was around defense as he prepares to go up against a senior-laden team that opened the season ranked No. 3 in the NAIA.

Fresno (24-8) matches up well with Campbellsville (26-7) on paper, as Fresno averages 75.8 points per game to the Tigers' 74.3. Both teams average 12.6 assists, 14 turnovers and 2.5 blocks per game.

The big differences on paper come on the perimeter and off the glass. Campbellsville is shooting 38 percent from 3-point range and is the third-ranked 3-point defense in the nation, holding opponents to 28.5 percent shooting from the arc. Fresno is shooting 32.7 from long range. The Tigers also lead the rebounding battle, out rebounding their opponents by five per game and averaging five more boards than Fresno.

All the numbers on paper won't matter though when the ball is tipped Wednesday.

Following Tuesday's film session, the Tigers participated in the tournament's Tip-Off Banquet at the Kansas City Convention Center, where senior Jordan Benock was recognized as one of 32 NAIA Champions of Character (story).

Wednesday's first round game will be available in various forms of media. JumpTV will stream live video of the game on a pay-per-view basis on WatchNAIA.com, while Comcast Cable Channel 10 in Campbellsville will televise the JumpTV feed live. For live audio, an online stream will be available on the team page at CampbellsvilleTigers.com or Campbellsville radio station K-Country 105.7 FM will carry the game, following the conclusion of the CU Lady Tigers' first round game in Jackson, Tenn. The Lady Tigers' tip at 11:15 a.m. EDT. Live stats will also be available through the NAIA.

All media links and daily updates will be provided on the CU tournament page, here.
