Campbellsville University climbed one spot to No. 7 in this week's NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches Poll, released Monday. The Tigers completed a two-game sweep in Mid-South Conference play last week and gained ground in the poll after previous No. 6 Louisiana State University-Shreveport fell to No. 8.

Biola University also slid in the Top 10 this week, falling from No. 4 to No. 6, while Westminster College moved up three spots from No. 7 to No. 4 and Concordia University (Calif.) traded spots with Oklahoma Baptist University to take over the No. 2 spot.

The new ranking nearly guarantees Campbellsville an at-large bit to the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championships in Kansas City, March 17-23. The official selections will be made on the CollegeFanz.com Selection Show on March 10 at 4 p.m.

Campbellsville (22-6) has now been ranked in the Top 10 the past five weeks. It is the longest run in the Top 10 for CU since a six-week stint during the 2007-08 season that ended with a trip to the NAIA Fab Four. It is also the highest ranking for the Tigers this late in the season in the past six years. They were ranked No. 8 with one week left in the 2006-07 season.

Mountain State University (23-0) remains No. 1 in the nation for the ninth consecutive poll.

Campbellsville leads the Mid-South Conference standings at 10-2, followed by No. 10 Georgetown College (21-6, 9-3) and No. 19 University of the Cumberlands (19-8, 8-4). st. Catharine College and Pikeville College are receiving votes in the NAIA poll and are fourth and third, respectively in the MSC standings with two games remaining.

CU hosts Cumberlands in the Tigers' final home game Thursday at 8 p.m.
