Campbellsville University men's basketball gained a few extra points from last week but remain at No. 8 in the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches Poll, released Monday.

The Tigers picked up five points in the poll after beating then No. 13 Pikeville College, 74-58, on the road Thursday. Westminster College (Utah), previously tied at No. 8 with CU, picked up 14 points to move up to No. 7 after McKendree University fell from the spot following a Saturday loss.

This is the third time in the past five seasons Campbellsville has been ranked in the Top 10 with two weeks left in the regular season and is the fourth consecutive week this season the Tigers have received a Top 10 ranking.

Campbellsville, which stands alone in the Mid-South Conference at 8-2, leads four other conference teams in the ratings. Georgetown College moved up to No. 13 in this week's poll, while University of the Cumberlands broke back into the poll at No. 21 after sitting just on the outside the last four polls. Pikeville dropped to No. 34, while St. Catharine College is No. 32.

The Tigers' (20-6) losses have all come to teams currently receiving votes. CU's first loss of the season was at home to Mid-Continent University, which has one vote in the poll, while the second loss came just before Thanksgiving to Olivet Nazarene University, then ranked No. 25 and now sitting at No. 14. The Tigers' third loss was to then-No. 1 Robert Morris University, who is now No. 27. No. 10 Union knocked off the Tigers in Campbellsville on Jan. 2 and No. 13 Georgetown won at home Jan. 16 while ranked in the Top 10.

Campbellsville will host Lindsey Wilson College on Thursday at 8 p.m., and then travel to St. Catharine on Saturday.
