Corporate sponsors were recognized between games Thursday.
Campbellsville University recognized its
corporate sponsors in-between the women's and men's basketball games Thursday
night against West Virginia Tech.
"I was extremely pleased with the turnout of
corporate sponsors which I believe is the largest ever," said Chuck Vaughn,
director of the Big Maroon Club. "Campbellsville University is blessed to have
so many generous and loyal corporate sponsors. Without their marvelous support
our athletic program and athletes would not have been able to achieve the
successes and growth over the last few years."
Each year the university athletic department is
supported by the generous contributions of its corporate sponsors as gifts from
these sponsors enable the CU student-athletes
to compete at the highest levels and help insure that all the athletic programs
have the needed resources to build winning teams.
"Campbellsville University values our
corporate sponsors who are generously supporting our athletics programs," said
CU President Dr. Michael V. Carter. "Our corporate sponsors are essential to
CU's student-athletes being able to have
excellent facilities and to become even more competitive in intercollegiate
athletics. We say thank you to all those who are corporate sponsors of the
Campbellsville University athletic programs."
The sponsors were acknowledged as they are introduced by Athletic Director, Rusty Hollingsworth; Vice-President for
Development, Benji Kelly, Carter and Vaughn.
The sponsors in attendance were each presented with a special gift to express the
university's appreciation for their support.
"This
night is a great way each year for us to extend a public ‘Thank you' to each of
our corporate sponsors, who are devotedly committed to aiding us in our mission
as an athletics department," said Hollingsworth.
