Campbellsville University will open its home wrestling schedule Friday night when No. 6 McKendree comes to the Gosser Gym at 7:00.

"This is the only head-to-head match we will have with them this year," said coach Franky James. "They are also in the Eastern National Qualifier group, so we will also see them at that tournament on Feb. 20.
McKendree will have six All-Americans in its lineup Friday night.

The match of the evening could be preseason No. 1 Wade Lowe against CU's Tommy Pretty at 133 pounds. Pretty is now ranked No. 1 in the nation at 133 pounds. However, Lowe defeated Pretty twice last year.

The 165- pound division could also be another swing match in the duel, according to James.

"They have a nationally ranked guy and we have returning All-American James linker who is not ranked. This winner of this match could decide the duel.

At 174 pounds will be another feature match. McKendree has All-American and nationally ranked Josh Bryant against CU senior Bryan Wells. Wells is not ranked.

In the middle weights at 149 and 157 there will see a battle of the freshman. McKendree has young guys in those two spots, said James, and the Tigers are sending out nationally ranked true freshman Conor Young at 157 and true freshman Nick Waldrop at 149. Waldrop has been in the national rankings for us this year, but is not ranked at this time.

At 184 pounds is another big match in the duel, according to James.

"They have nationally ranked Tanner Wolk and we have All-American and nationally ranked Spencer Adams. Wolk pinned Adams last year in the first duel of the season at McKendree. Wolk was also injured in that match and did not compete the rest of last season. He is back now and it should be a good re-match."

McKendree will have National Champion Andrew Sanchez at 197. CU is sending redshirt freshman Diante Wright to the mat for that contest.

Here are the individual wrestlers and their records for CU tomorrow night:

- 125-Johnny Papesh is 9-7
- 133-Tommy Pretty- 16-3 with 7 pins on the year.
- 141-Matt David is 12-9
- 149 Nick Waldrop is 16-9
- 157 Conor Young is 20-11 with team leading 10 pins on the year.
