CU gathers for a photo at the NWCA National Duals
Campbellsville University wrestling rises back to No. 9 in
the NAIA rankings this week after winning the Spartan Mat Classic over the
weekend and finishing seventh at the NWCA National Duals.
During the National Duals Campbellsville lost to No. 7 California Baptist and
No. 4 Lindenwood, but defeated then-No. 8 Oklahoma City and Dana College, who is now ranked No.
10.
Tommy Pretty was 2-0 at the duals and maintains his top
national ranking at 133 pounds. Jacob Murton, who was 4-0 at the National
Duals, moves into the rankings at 141 pounds at No. 6. Connor Young, who had
two pins over the weekend at the Spartan Mat Classic, moves into the 157-pound
division at No. 12. Spencer Adams remains ranked in the 184-pound division at
No. 6.
The Tigers takes the week off before hosting No. 6 McKendree
for its only home dual of the season Jan. 29.
