Laura Swencki and Jessica Hupp
For the first time in Campbellsville University's short tenure with the National Christian College Athletic Association, two women's soccer players have been named All-America Honorable Mentions.
Senior forward Laura Swencki and sophomore defender Jessica Hupp both received the honor after helping Campbellsville to the NCCAA Mid-East Region championship game in November.
"I am very happy and proud of my girls. They represent my program and
our school in a Christ-like way on and off the field," CU head coach Thom Jones said.
Swencki set a single season scoring record at CU with 13 goals on the season, bringing her career total to 41. She finishes her time at CU as its all-time leading goal scorer. She also led the Lady Tigers with seven assists.
Hupp was a solid fixture on Campbellsville's back line, helping lead CU to five shutouts during the season.
