About half of the 157 light fixtures that will be used on the football, soccer and baseball fields arrived late Tuesday afternoon along with about half of the pre-stressed studs.

Work continues at Finley Stadium, where football and men's and women's soccer will be played, and at the baseball field as 16-20 feet deep holes are being drilling for the nine light poles required for both fields.

If weather cooperates, the Finley Stadium field will have both lights and new artificial turf in time for the spring football game.

A $1.2 million athletic fund-raising campaign was begun on September 25th and there are many opportunities for individuals and businesses to become involved with the project, according to Director of Athletics Rusty Hollingsworth.
