If this were a movie, then the soundtrack has already hinted a great storyline. As the Campbellsville University volleyball team pulled away from the Orlando International Airport Tuesday, "Eye of the Tiger" hit the car speakers from local radio. "This is our song," one of the seniors said. "Turn it up."

That fun attitude is what CU head coach Randy LeBleu hopes his team will have when play begins Thursday at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament.

"I want to see how the first match goes and see how much fun they have," LeBleu said. "If they're worried about all the little details around, such as sun coming through the windows above the net, then its not much fun, but hopefully they'll be able to forget about all of that and play."

Campbellsville practiced at the Kissimmee Civic Center Wednesday morning and will participate in a service project with other teams Wednesday afternoon, followed by a tournament banquet.
 

CU opens the tournament Dec. 3 as the No. 2 overall seed and the top-seeded team in Pool B. The Lady Tigers' first match is at noon against Pensacola Christian College on Court 2 and will face Malone University at 6:30 on the opening day.

"Our pool is tough. The first match is unknown. We don't know what Pensacola is really like. The other three are all NAIA schools we've faced the past few years, which we know are pretty solid," LeBleu said.

Day two of pool play is Friday with CU playing at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Court 1. The semifinals and championship are Saturday.
