Campbellsville volleyball coach Randy LeBleu said he needed to halt big runs by his opponent if his team had any shot at a Mid-South Tournament crown. However, Georgetown didn't comply and defeated the Volley Tigers 3-0 to capture the Mid-South Tournament title Wednesday night at Farnham Dudgeon Arena in Frankfort, Ky.

The win by Georgetown completed a 40-2 season worksheet and the automatic bid to the national tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. Campbellsville finished at 30-13.

The Volley Tigers will get a bid to the National Christian College Athletic Association tournament, with those pairings to be announced later.

Georgetown won by scores of  25-17, 25-11 and 25-16.

Brooke Marcum led the CU attack with nine kills while Shannon Cahill added eight. Caroline Martin had 16 digs to go along with 19 assists. Caitlin Dresing had 15 digs.

Georgetown's MSC Player of the Year Erica Janszen had 10 kills and seven digs.
