Campbellsville University men's bowling finished 32 of 34 Sunday in the S.I. Elite Classic hosted by McKendree College in Fairview Heights, Ill. The Tigers collected 7,387 pins in the nine-game event.
Matt Fitch led Campbellsville, finishing 41st of more than 200 bowlers. He finished the tournamente with a 190.333 average, breaking 200 three times. He maxed out at 244 in his eighth game. It was the seventh highest score bowled by all participants during the eighth game of the tournament.
Chance Harker was second for CU, averaging 175.556 and finishing 71st. His high score was 225 in the seventh game, which was the 13th best of all competitors during the seventh game.
Stephen Tucker followed for the Tigers at No. 112 with an average of 154.111 and 176 high. Jordan Antle was 132nd with an average of 159.5 and high of 209. Jordan Sanders finished No. 175 with a 151.667 average and 200 high, bowling in only six of the nine games. Jericho mcCoy bowled in four games, averaging 130.25.
JR Raymond of host school McKendree College's Reign team won the tournament, bowling over 200 in eight of the nine games. His winning average was 227.333 with a high of 254 in the third game. Fitch's game eight score and Harker's game seven score were higher than Raymond's. In team competition, Wichita Stat's D Team beat out McKendree Reign by 210 pins, 9,502 to 9,291.
CU continues its inaugural season Nov. 14-15 at the Raider Classic in Ohio.
