Campbellsville University's men's cross country team traveled to Tom
Sawyer Park in Louisville on Saturday and finished 17th on muddy terrain at the Southeast
Classic.
Qualaun Reed was the front runner for the
Tigers, placing 55th running the time of 27:13. A sick Geovanni Popoca
still pulled off a 71st place finish in the time of 27:30. Jonathan
Pernell placed 87th running the time of 28:09. Will Cox placed 113th in
the time of 29:01. Dashan Craft placed 118th in the time of 29:25.
Right behind him was Armando Pina placed 119th in the time of 29:30.
Wes Colvin placed 131st running the time of 30:25. James Linker
finished 185th in the time of 31:41. Matt Oliver finished in 209th
place and ran the time of 34:56.
The Tigers will take a week off before entering the Mid-South Conference meet Nov. 7 at Tom Sawyer Park. Although they had a disappointing finish Saturday, finishing behind the University of the Cumberlands, the Tigers spirits
are still high and hope to challenge the University of Rio Grande and Cumberlands in two weeks.
