Campbellsville University's Christina D'Ordine, Lauren Nolte, Matt
Fitch and Chance Harker all finished in the top 10 of the first Green
River Classic for collegiate bowling teams, held Saturday at Philips
Lanes.
Hosted by Campbellsville University, the tournament was a kick-off event for CU's first-year bowling program.
"I think we'll do it again," said coach John Rausch. "We had four teams
who expressed interest, but couldn't make it. Everybody said they want
to come back."
Seven men's teams and three women's squads competed in morning and afternoon team and individual competitions.
The individual awards were determined before the afternoon Baker Session began. (The Baker Session consists of five-player teams with each bowler rolling two frames in a alternating fashion).
St. Catharine's Misty Johnson was the individual women's winner with a five-game total of 926.
The Patriots also had the top male bowler in Shawn Green with a 975 five-game series.

In the team competition going into the Baker Round, St. Catharine led both the men's and women's divisions.
As team play concluded St. Catharine won both the men's (purple team) and the women's divisions.
Campbellsville's men, third after the morning session, won the Baker System afternoon matches and held onto third place behind SCC and Union College.
Rounding out the men's division were: St. Catharine (gold), fourth; University of Tennessee (Knoxville), fifth; Cumberland University, sixth; and Lindsey Wilson, seventh.
Runners-up to St. Catharine's women were the Union College Lady Bulldogs.
The bowling teams travel to Indianapolis next weekend for the 15th Annual Brickyard Classic.
