Campbellsville, Kentucky - Twenty football players signed in an on-campus ceremony held this morning at Campbellsville University.  Another fourteen players are signing their letters of intent to play for the Tigers in their hometowns today to bring the total of new players signed on National Signing Day to 35.

 "I am very excited to announce a strong group of signees that are going to make outstanding additions to Fighting Tiger Football," said head coach Perry Thomas.  "We expect to receive additional commitments from other players in the near future," he added in regards to assembling his first collegiate recruiting class at Campbellsville. 
The twenty players who signed on campus this morning were:
 
· Lee Marquis Atkins from Woodford County (KY) High School. Atkins is a 5'11", 250-pound Middle Linebacker and was a three-year starter for the Yellow Jackets. He also received the Captainship Award in football and was a member of the track and wrestling team.
 
· Henri Baynham-Baker from Elizabethtown (KY) High School. Baynham-Baker is a 5'9, 260 pound Defensive Tackle and had 160 solo tackles during his career for the Panthers. He was a First Team All-District and a First Team on offense and defense All-Area selection. He was also the Defensive MVP of the East vs. West All-Star game.
 
· Taylor Alan Berry from Allen County-Scottsville (KY) High School. Berry is a 6'1", 200 pound Linebacker and was a two-time Southern Kentucky Conference selection. He was team MVP for the Patriots and also received the Captain Award and the Defensive Award twice during his high school career. Berry also played basketball and ran track at Allen County-Scottsville.
 
· Calvin Joseph Bini from North Hardin (KY) High School. Bini is transferring to Campbellsville from Kentucky Wesleyan where he lettered for two years. He is a 5'10, 160 pound Defensive Back/Wide Receiver and received All-State honors in Track in 2005 at North Hardin.
 
· Austin Gene Blakeman from Taylor County (KY) High School. Blakeman is a 6'2, 210 pound Linebacker lettered for three years for the Cardinals. He was an All-District selection and was the senior captain for Taylor County.
 
· Wayne Coffee from Centennial (TN) High School. Coffee will be a Running Back for the Tigers. He was a three-year starter and amassed 1,550 yards over his junior and senior seasons. He was also a deep man on kick-offs and had two kick-off returns for touchdowns this season. He was voted Back of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year for Centennial this season.
 
· Ernest Graydon III from North Hardin (KY) High School. Graydon is a 6'1", 203-pound Outside Linebacker and was an All-District and All-Area player for the Trojans. He also participated in the East vs. West All-Star Game.
 
· William Bradley Harris from Mercer (KY) Senior High School. Harris is a 6'1, 243 pound Defensive Lineman.
 
· Lorenzo Hines from Fort Campbell (KY) High School. Hines, a 6'0, 200 pound Wide Receiver was a member of Fort Campbell's 2007 State Championship team.
 
· Dwight Houston from Harmony Community (OH) School. Houston is a 5'9", 215-pound Outside Linebacker. He had 62 tackles and 7 pass breakups last season and was an All-City and All-Conference selection in 2005-06. Originally from Missouri, Houston also played at Vashon (MO) High School.
 
  Stan Warren-Huffman from Harmony Community (OH) School.   Huffman is a 6'3", 190-pound Wide Receiver.  He had 573 yards receiving and five touchdowns for Harmony last season.
 
· Calvin T. Mann II from Harmony Community (OH) School. Mann is a 6'0", 185 pound Wide Receiver. He had 421 yards receiving and four touchdowns last season at Harmony and was a First Team All-Area and All-Conference selection.
 
· Devan Drakkarr Lee Patton from Mercer Senior (KY) High School. Patton is a 6'2", 323 Left Guard and was a member of the 2006 Mercer Senior State Championship team. He was an All-Area, All-District and All-State selection.
 
· Justin Sims of Gordonsville (TN) High School. Sims is a 6'3", 220-pound Linebacker and an All-State selection. He had 92 tackles and was an All-Region and All-Upper Cumberland selection. He was Defensive Player of the Year for Gordonsville and was the team captain.
 
· Tim Smith of Campbellsville (KY) High School. Smith is transferring from Lindsey Wilson College to play football for the Tigers. A 2007 graduate of Campbellsville High School, he is a 6'0", 185 pound Defensive Back.
 
· Justin Smith of Gordonsville (TN) High School. Smith is a 5'11", 175 pound Wide Receiver and was an All-State selection his junior and senior seasons. He had over 1,500 yards in pass reception yards and 700 rushing yards in his career and was the 4-A All-Region MVP his junior and senior season as well.
 
· Brian Michael Winklepeck from Owensboro (KY) Catholic High School. Winklepeck is a 6'0", 190 pound Safety. He is a three time All-State Selection with 24 total career interceptions. In 2006 he had 112 tackles for Catholic and is also a three-time All-District and All-Area player.
 
· Corey David Witcher from Glasgow (KY) High School. Witcher is a 5'9", 190-pound Linebacker/Strong Safety. He is a three-time All-District selection, a two-year All-Southern Kentucky Conference team and was team captain of the Scotties for two seasons.
 
· Chad Witzel from George Rogers Clark (KY) High School. Witchel is a 5'9", 245-pound Defensive Tackle who started three seasons for GRC. He is a three-time Academic All-State Honorable Mention selection and received the Most Improved Award at George Rogers Clark.
 
· Charles Norris Yeast from Mercer Senior (KY) High School. Yeast is a 5'9", 165-pound Fullback/Outside Linebacker from Harrodsburg.
 
The following players are signing in ceremonies off of campus today. Biographical information that is missing for these players will be added as soon as it is received.
 
· David Coffey from Collins Hill (GA) High School. Collins is a 6'3", 265-pound Offensive/Defensive Lineman and Center. He is a two-year starter for the Eagles and was an All-County and All-Region player in 2007. Collins also enjoyed a successful wrestling career at Collins Hill.
 
· Da'Jouir Cornnielies of Middletown (OH) High School. Cornnielies is a 6'0", 227 pound Linebacker with 140 hits in 2007 and 139 hits in 2006. He was a two-time All-Conference and All-District player.
 
· Nick Kunkel from Cincinnati Turpin (OH) High School. Kunkle was a member of a team that was 24-3 over the past two seasons. He is the 5th leading rusher in Turpin High School history and had 650 yards with 6 touchdowns last season.
 
· Logan Armstrong from Mayfield (KY) High School. Armstrong is a 6'0", 195 pound Quarterback. He passed for 965 yards and 15 touchdowns and also rushed for 414 yards last season. In his first three seasons as a Defensive Tackle he had 338 tackles and 41 tackles for losses. He was a member of the Western Kentucky All-Conference team for two seasons.
 
· Tommy McNutt from Mayfield (KY) High School. McNutt was the Kicker/Punter for Mayfield the last four seasons. He averaged 37 yards per punt and also set a school record for extra points made with 168 in his four-year career. He kicked 16 field goals and had 88 kickoffs travel the distance for touchbacks.
 

· Isaiah Holt from Paducah Tilghman (KY) High School. Holt is a 6'2", 250-pound Linebacker. He was a 3rd Team All-State Linebacker and First Team All-Western Kentucky Conference and All-Purchase Area player.

· Brett Richter from Monroe (OH) High School. Richter is an Offensive Lineman. He was a 2nd team All-State Ohio offensive lineman, first team All-District, first team All Butler-County and 1st team Middletown Journal player. He helped lead the Hornets to a 33-7 record over the past three seasons including three straight playoff appearances.
 
· Issac Harkless from Lejune (NC) High School.  Harkless is a 5'6", 145-pound Running Back.  He was All-Conference two times and the team MVP in 2006. In 2006 he rushed for 901 yards on 101 carries.
 
· Blake Roberts from Owensboro (KY) High School.  Roberts is a four-year starter for the Red Devils and had 46 solo tackles and 55 assisted tackles in 2007.  He was the team MVP this past season and was 2nd team All-State.   He has been Honorable Mention Academic All-State for the past three seasons.
 
· Philip Coury from Westminister Academy (FL)
 
· Teddy Leonhardt, a 5'10", 208 lb. MLB from Meade County (KY) High School.  Leonhardt had 114 total tackles (66 solos) for the Green Wave and had 28 carries for 178 yards and a touchdown in the Fullback slot.  He was an All Area Honorable Mention and received the Most Improved Award as a senior along with several Offensive and Defensive Player of the Game awards.
 
· Kyle Moffett from Blount County (MS) High School
 
· Stephan Patterson from East Coweta (GA) High School
 
· Ross Deaton from Somerset (KY) High School, signed with the Tigers on December 20th. During his two year playing career for the Briar Jumpers, Deaton threw for 5,901 yards and ranks 48th in the Kentucky High School Football record book for Career Passing Yards. During his senior campaign the 3,726 passing yards stands as the 14th most in a season in Kentucky High School Football records.
 

The Tigers open the season on September 6, 2008 as they host Cumberland University (TN).
