Campbellsville, Kentucky - Campbellsville University's Courtney Danis (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) has been named the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The freshman forward led the Tigers to a 2-1 week with victories over Brescia University and Pikeville College.

 

Danis averaged 21.7 points and 7.3 rebounds last week, including a career-high 38 points in the Tiger's 87-71 win over Pikeville College. For the week, Danis shot 58.5% from the field (24-41) and was an impressive 12 of 14 from the foul line (85.7%). She was also 5 of 9 (55%) from beyond the arc and dished out four assists.

Campbellsville (14-9, 1-2) will travel to the University of the Cumberlands (17-6, 2-1) this Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. contest before hosting WVU Tech this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
