Apryll White, a graduate of Kennedy (CA) High School and a transfer from Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif., has signed to CU's outdoor track & field team.
She was named her high school team's Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior and spent four years on the track and field team.
White specialized in the 300-meter hurdles (46.2), 100-meters (12.7) and high jump (5' 0"). She was voted the team captain as a senior and Most Improved Player her sophomore year.
While at Cerritos College, she was part of back-to-back Southern California Championships and back-to-back State Championships, contributing in the hurdles and relays.
She plans to pursue nursing at CU and likes to read and spend time with friends in her spare time.
"Apryll has the potential to break at least six school records in her first year," said head coach Joe Stockton, "and I believe she eager to try it too."
