"Hussein is another great student-athlete that will adapt very well into the university," Stockton said. 

Marat is originally from Somalia and has been attending school in the U.S. for the past five years. While at Waggener Traditional High School, Marat participated in soccer and track.Marat will also be running for the Tiger cross country team in the fall.  

According to Stockton, Hussein will continue to run the 800-meter dash and 800-meter relay, but "I have hopes of working him into the steeplechase."
