CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -Laura Swencki, a Campbellsville University tennis player from Lebanon, Ky., has been named an NAIA Academic All-American.
Swencki, a senior who has used up her tennis eligibility and plans to graduate after the fall 2009 semester, carries a 3.65 grade point average in her major of exercise science/sports medicine.
She plans to play one more season of women's soccer for CU in the fall after leading the team on goals (20) in 2008.
Only 122 tennis student-athletes from all of the NAIA schools earned such an honor.
Campbellsville University is a private, comprehensive institution located in South Central Kentucky.
