Nine Campbellsville University track and field athletes, including two relay teams, have qualified for the NCCAA meet to be held starting April 30 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. And one runner, Miranda Meeks, has qualified, by virtue of her "A" standard time in the 3000-meter steeplechase, for NAIA nationals.

Meeks, a senior from Princeton, Ky., ran an 11:13.00 to qualify for nationals, to be held in St. Louis on May 21-23, according to her coach Joe Stockton.

The National Christian College Athletic Association meet will be held April 30-May 2.

Those qualifying for the NCCAA:

-     Meeks in the 3000-meter steeplechase and the 5000-meter run.

-     Detrick Briggs, a sophomore from Louisville, in the long and triple jumps.

-     Karl Charles, a sophomore from Belle Glade, Fla., in the triple jump.

-     Sean Thompson, a freshman from Harker Heights, Texas, in the triple and high jumps.

-     Nathan Hobbs, a senior from Louisville, in the javelin.

-     Glen Jackson, a senior from Chesapeake, Va., in the 110-meter and the 400-meter hurdles.

-     Chris Branam, a senior from Clear Creek, Ind., in the hammer throw.

-     Megumi Kondo, a freshman from Kanagawa, Japan, in the javelin.

-     Courtney Tuck, a freshman from Radcliff, Ky., in the javelin.

-     Men's 400-meter relay team of Briggs, Charles, Jackson and Josh Naimo, a freshman from Kentwood, Mich.

-     Women's 400-meter relay team of Tuck, Kondo, Kaitlin Pritchett, a junior from Clay City, Ky.; and  Dorjopalam Khurelbaatar, a senior from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
