Georgetown, Kentucky -  The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers fell to Georgetown College this afternoon 96-82 in the 2008 Mid-South Conference opener for both teams.
 
Campbellsville trailed 43-41 at halftime, but in the second half Georgetown's size advantage became their strength.  Georgetown pounded the ball inside with 6'2" Emily Drees and 6'0" Amy Schiller and cruised to the 14 point win.
Campbellsville was led by Courtney Danis (FR/Mt. Sterling, KY) with a game high 23 points.    Kristi Ensminger (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for Campbellsville while Melly Heaton (FR/Princeton, KY) had 14 points in the losing effort.
 
Georgetown shot 50% from the floor for the game and had six players post double-digit scoring, led by the 20 point performances of Jayme Gilbert and Amy Schiller.
 
Campbellsville falls to 12-8 overall (0-1 in MSC play) and hosts Brescia on Monday night in the final non-conference game of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Powell Ahtletic Center.
