Campbellsville University's Outdoor Track & Field teams had a good showing at the Centre College Invitational this past Saturday, and even broke a couple of school records.

"We had our first weekend of great weather, so I was expecting some personal bests out of the men's and women's teams," said head coach Joe Stockton.

Chris Branam broke the school record in the hammer with a throw of 31.00 meters or 101-8.

"Chris has been forced to work out a lot on his own because his schedule and our practice times conflict. Yet, he is disciplined enough to continue to work and improve his skills. You have to respect that kind of discipline and focus," Stockton said.

The women's relay team also broke the school record in the 4x400 meter relay by 13 seconds with a time of 4:45.32 finishing 7th in the event. The team consists of Kaitlin Pritchett, Courtney Tuck, Miranda Meeks and Megumi Kondo.

The women's team finished 8th in the competition while the men's team finished 9th.
