CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University men's and women's tennis took a split with visiting University of the Cumberlands on Monday afternoon at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
The 24th ranked men fail behind 2-1 in doubles play and came up one victory short in singles play.
"The guys have had a few injury issues, but we battled well," said Coach Kyle Caven. "They are a super competitive team that will have a lot of good results this season."
The 23rd ranked women won the doubles side of the match 2-1 and didn't look back once singles play began.
Haley Dallas, Lindy Charity, and Jenna Sallee all three recorded victories in doubles play, as well as singles.
"The girls played a good, complete match and really put together a solid win," said Caven.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 5-3 on the season and 1-1 in Mid-South Conference play. The women improved to 6-2 on the year and 3-0 in Mid-South play.
Both teams will travel to Barbourville, Ky., tomorrow as the take on the Bulldogs of Union College at 2 p.m.
